I am an RYT 200 certified yoga teacher with additional healthy lifestyle coaching, mat Pilates, and children yoga training; and provide private yoga and healthy lifestyle coaching to adults, children, and families at clients' homes, scenic sites, and beautiful parks.
Yoga, from the Sanskrit for Union, is a 5,000+-year-old philosophy and practice that offers a holistic approach to wellbeing. The physical postures (Asanas) and breathing techniques (Pranayamas) that we westerners are the most familiar with are proven methods to connect mind and body – with the aim of achieving the balanced conditions that are the most beneficial for meaningful intentional contemplation, self-study/reflection (Svadhyaya), and/or meditation.
Yoga is a wellness practice that pays attention to the whole self: mind, body, and spirit.
Whatever challenges you face, whatever body type you have, there is unlimited potential for you to find empowerment through the practice of yoga. It will increase your awareness of the body-mind connection, of your self, and of other living beings and life forces.
