Sounds, Shapes, Future Civilizations

SSFC are LA based art couple Sara Ludy and Austin Meredith, whose work I'm always psyched to see because it's all over retrograde future coolness. I met Sara when I lived in Chicago where I stumbled upon her at art related activities and other of the funnest events, including Lava Lounge's Italo Disco nights being held back then by legendary djs such as Tobias Berbingler, Brock Manke, Johnny Love and others... and Carpark's Atomly parties, including a memorable kraftwerk night where kraftwerk songs were being remixed live along the screening of 80s future-based theme movies. They are currently making art, including video/film/VJ work, and playing with their band Tremblexy in LA. http://www.soundsfc.com

I Met the Walrus

Collaboration between director Josh Raskin and illustrators James Braithwaite and Alex Kurina for an animated short film inspired by the original recording of an interview a 14-year-old Beatle fanatic made. Jerry Levitan snuck into John Lennon's hotel room and convinced him to do the interview. They used the original recording as the soundtrack.
