Miette Patisserie

Megan Ray started Miette at the Berkeley Farmers' Market in the fall of 2001 and now she has this charming space inspired in a Parisian "Patisserie" in San Francisco's historic Ferry Building and another little one in Hayes Valley. Motivated by her passion for sweets & pastry, Ray's pastry artistry was self-taught, with influences ranging from candy shop windows in Vienna to wild blackberries growing on her island home. Her Ferry building shop offers a seasonal selection of cakes and cupcakes, tarts, cookies, confections, cake stands, and other vintage dessert ware. Northern California provides her with the finest and freshest ingredients in the world, coming from local, family-owned farms and mills, which are, whenever possible, organic & sustainably produced.
