Asheville's Seeds of Hope

Asheville, you are SO beautiful!!! So friendly... And your sea of mountains, WOW! Workmates and I hit the road to Asheville this week for the Seeds of Hope, Seeds of Resilience: How Biodiversity and Agroecology Address Hunger and Climate Change seed exchange and lecture . In honor of Dr. Vandana Shiva visiting Asheville, Bountiful Cities, Sow True Seed, Slow Food Asheville, Organic Growers School, Southern Exposure Seed Exchange, Appalachian Institute for Mountain Studies, Southern Seed Legacy, UNCA, and the ABFPC Resilience Cluster hosted a regional seed exchange symposium. This was so exciting for my co-worker David, who's been managing the learning garden where I work and who's become an enthusiastic seed collector in the process! Although I knew about these seed exchange events, I'd never been to one and had no idea what to expect.
