Two of my Favorite Musical Instruments Technology in One!

The Moog synthesizer was invented by pioneer of electronic music Dr. Robert Arthur Moog. Although a native of New York, Robert Moog spent most of his life living, creating instruments and working as a music research professor at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. He earned degrees in physics, electrical engineering, and engineering physics.

The Theremin is a Russian instrument named after its Russian inventor, Professor Léon Theremin. The instrument usually consists of two metal antennas which sense the position of the musician's hands and control oscillators for frequency with one hand, and volume with the other, the electric signals from the instrument are then amplified and sent to a speaker.

The theremin creates an eerie sound, which has led to its use in movie soundtracks and also art music (especially avant-garde and 20th- and 21st-century new music), and in rock mostly by Psychedelic Rock bands. It's one of the first electronic instruments.
