I'm fascinated by vertical gardens, and the front man in this technique at the moment seems to be botanist, scientist, inventor, and designer Patrick Blanc for his monumental designs surrounding Paris, including the Musée du Quai Branly. He uses plants that thrive on wet vertical rock surfaces in nature the world over, in combination to a system he invented that replicates this natural situation on walls (both, indoors and outdoors)of urban buildings.
